Post subject:  Position and Buffer Problem

Hi,

there is any way to use position commands (65,66 and 67) in buffer mode? or at least a way to know when the position is reached without consulting the encoder repeatedly?

I'd prefer a solution with position commands than distance commands because with distance commands you have to calculate each time the distance to stop properly and it is a little tricky.

Thanks,

There was a bug in the position commands so it ignored or didnt use the buffered flag correctly. That has been fixed(I fixed it last week) and I expect to release a new update with IonMotion this coming week with the new firmware. That should remedy check if the position has been reached.

Hi,

can you tell me which is the firmware version that this bug is fixed?

And is using the IonMotion software the correct way to update the firmware? Does it update the Roboclaw to the latest version?

Thanks.
