One of the reasons I like microcontrollers is the ability to control IP. Another, is limiting end users' ability to modify. Bubba makes a change, then the product doesn't work right and it's our fault. (I know how Bill Gates must feel.)

BUT, if there are updates to a product, I would like to be able to send the .hex file and tell the customer where to plug in and how to load the file without seeing the original code. Is this a possibility? Basically, a remote loader that can open the .hex file and transmit to the uc. Hyperterminal comes to mind, but I'm not sure how that could be accomplished.

We already have a loader app. We only make it available on request. It currently only supports BasicAtomPro modules but we have a non-pro version in the works. Just email and we'll send you a copy.
