WARN SUPER NOOB QUESTION:
Background info
Processor: Basic Atom Pro 28-pin
Board: Lynxmotion Mini-ABB

So here my problem, when i enter the example in the syntax manager, and compile and program it, I don't know how to use the Basic Micro Studio in order to send the letter "A" to the controller to receive back the ASCII hex value and ASCII decimal value.
Should I be using HyperTerminal or something like that? Or can this just be done in the BMS itself?
Also will the SERIN and SEROUT commands go through the DB9 connection the Lynxmotion Board has? or is that some other pin? I don't think that would be the problem.
PLEASE HELP...
Code:
temp var byte
main
serin s_in,i9600,[temp]
serout s_out,i9600,[0,temp,"=Hex:0x", hex2 temp\2," Dec:",dec temp]
goto main

Thanks,
Nate

At the bottom of the Studio window is a sub window that has tabs in it. Click the Terminal 1 tab. Then set the Baud rate to 9600 in that window and set the comport. Then click connect. Then click in the edit error of the window and you can start typing. Whatever you type will be sent to whatever is connected to the specified comport at the baud rate specified.
