hello: I need to replace my atom 40. I see you only sell the atom pro now.
Can I just drop in this new processor, or will I have major problems with timing of loops and hardware control and such? I use HPWM, serial out commands, servo commands etc.
I like the greater memory in the atom pro, but I did not want to have to reinvent the wheel by changing my entire program to fit the pro.
The previous atom 40 simply stopped programming one day, and I could never get it to program again.
Thank you very much.

HI

If the Atom Pro40 will be a drop in replacement for the Atom40 will depend on the program structure, timing commands like pause and pulsin and serial IO will all still work as expected BUT if you have anything that would be effected by the main program loop execution speed then you would have to slow things down a little,

If you decide to go for the Atom-40 i can tell you the here at BasicMicroUK we still stock these, please see our web site at www.basicmicro.co.uk or our eBay shop at :-

I hope this helps,

Thanks
