I went to the basic micro website this morning to find that all but a handful of products had been removed from their lineup. Where are the nano's? Where are the atom pro's (other than the ONE?) Everything appears to be on the basicmicro UK site, but that's more than 8 time zones away.

HI,

YES we still have all the range of products on the BasicMicroUK site but I expect these products have just gone off line on BM USA site because of the Christmas holidays so they are likely to be back on after the 2nd Jan,

The Nano range is soon to be discontinued by BasicMicro USA BUT BasicMicroUK will continue to support the range including the Nano CPU's and the development PCB's for a long time to come,

Many thanks
Dave

Does this mean that all future orders for nano's will need to be made from the UK site? Will there be a stocking distributor in the US, or will it all be handled from the UK?

And it appears the nano's are back on the US site, for now anyway :-(

HI,

YES once BasicMicro USA discontinue the Nano range there will be a message on the site directing customers to our BasicMicroUK site in the UK,

We have no plans for a USA distributor and to be honest I do not think the level of sales on the Nano range would justify this but if we got enough interest we could look at that option, right now we ship worldwide anyway and for these small items the cost is not prohibitive,

We are already working on new products for the Nano line such as the Nano-18X a faster version of the Nano-18 and a new Nano development board as there are no longer any of these available, we have already made a Nano-28 to Arduino compatible board that lets you use the Nano-28 or the 28X version and interface to the wide range of Arduino hardware shields available at very good prices,

We still have stocks of all the original Nano PCB's as well as some other discontinued items such as the Nano Simon board and the Mad Hatter board,

I hope this helps,

Many thanks

Dave
