I have a atom 24D on a basic micro bd. I am very very new so this may seem
like an unnecessary question but here goes.

When I write code in the IDE it runs. ie(the hello world) one. It compiles and runs fine but any program from the library fails with the same error: could not get memory usage table during compile.
for example.

value var word
main
adin P31,value
high p0
pause value+1
low p0
pause value+1
goto main

Any ideas

Tks
Bob

Some of the standard suggestions. Make sure you have "BasicAtom" chosen in the first drop down list and then make sure to choose the 24... in the second list...

Not sure what the error is you are seeing.

But the line
Code:
adin P31,value

Does not look right as a 24 pin chip probably does not have IO pin 31...

Kurt

Seems that all the programs fail unless I copy manually and save them to a file on my system then compile and run.
Ur very correct about calling on pin34 won a 24 pin chip!

I will start reading the Mbasic manual but I wanted to play around some first I am going to love this stuff.
Thanks for the help.

Where are you saving the file when you open a library file(it askes for you to save a copy somewhere). If you are saving it in a system folder this could be the problem. Save the copy of the library file to the desktop when it askes you to.
