Now that I don't see a listing for MBasic , am I to assume it is finally completely dead? Or (hopefully) is there another forum or page that deals with it?

Thanks

Tom

I've used MBasic Pro for many years and have programmed a huge number of 16F877's . I was a bit heartened to find that the latest rev of MBasic includes 16F887's as well as a small set of 18F's. So, for now, I'm happily coding 887's. However, this forum has been invaluable to me on the many occasions that I got stuck in the middle of some serious coding. Kenjj has especiallly been a godsend (yes, Ken, I still want to buy you lunch) when I posted screwy questions on this forum.
Alas, as you point out, that forum is gone.

What is an MBasic coder to do?

It's still listed as a product. Dial 1-800-535-9161 and press "2" for support if you have a problem. I mean, what else can you do now that there is no forum presence? Go on the Wish List and ask for forum support? Or keep posting here.
At least they added all those new 16F--- definitions so it's usable with what's available into the forseeable future. I tried some of the 18F--- definitions, none worked to even compile.
However, there is still Pro related content to be found if you use the search engine. Putting in 5211 gets two hits. Using "mbasic (pro)" gets bounced as "too many hits", yatty yatty. Just search on a command or whatever and you'll probably find several hits, but will be dated way-back. And don't forget, the latest version starts with "531x" (or "5.3.1.x"), but then again, so does the last versions of Atom MBasic!
Later.
