Hello guys,

I'm new posting in this forum but I've been following it for a while. I never found myself in the need of posting until now.

I'm trying to build a low resolution display that shows in realtime what's going on in my PC screen. Like this one but with a WAY lower resolution (12x8) and with more powerful leds:

I was wondering if someone had the schematics and code for a similar project and what hardware would you recommend getting.

I appreciate your help.

Rob

Hi Robin,

Sorry I cann't help here. However I did delete the duplicate post as there are so few posts, that most of us that monitor the forum look through every post and it sometimes confuses things to have multiple posts, especially when you start to get replies in both.

Good Luck
KUrt

BasicMicro has produced a 32x32 RGB LED display. Go to http://www.basicmicro.com and check it out at the bottom of the home page. I *think* it may be available for sale. Contact sales@basicmicro and ask.

But that's just the proof of concept circuit. Check this out!

And they say this is part of a modular system that can become a 6'x8' wall!

You won't see much here on the subject. Try http://www.electro-tech-online.com and do a search on "matrix" or "LED array". IIRC, I have seen quite a few posts about LED arrays there.
Have fun with your project!

Thanks a lot. I have found many posts and cool projects but what I'm interested in is the code to make the Led array display what's going on in my PC screen in real time.

But thanks for your reply! :D
